Hello, I wonder if you can help me.

I live in Spain and I have planted 4 acacias from seed. Two are in pots and are about 6ft (1.8m) after less than a year. The other two are smaller (because I put them in the ground and they are in a place where they don't get adequate water - they're on a steep slope). I now want to put all four in the ground but in a different location as, thanks to building going on nearby, we would like an emergency screening fence. So a) I wonder if that seems like a good idea to you - they will be in an area where they will get lots of water but it is between very greedy eucalyptus trees, and b) any hints on planting and whether or not I should be pruning them - before or after transplanting. I'd be very grateful for any advice. They are acacia retinoides (or should that be retinodes??? I've seen both spellings.)

I'd be really grateful for any information as I am a bit of a newbie - particularly to trees and especially to Australian trees! Thanks very much indeed
