The current issue of Fine Gardening magazine has two quite, I think, articles that are well worth the price of the issue.
One, on mulch, written by two assistant professors of Horticulture at Michigan State University is the result of a milti year study of mulched versus unmulched plants. This pretty much supports what I have been telling people about mulches for years.
The other is about soil borne plant disease pathogens written by a plant pathologist from the University of California.
This is not to say the rest of the magazine is not interesting as always.
