Using a low-voltage fixture in a space with high ceilings...

Love this fixture from ET2 which comes with 10 feet of wire. I've run into a problem because I'd like to use this in a space with 18' ceilings. To float 5 1/2' off the floor, i would still need nearly 3 more feet of wire. The tiny lights used in this fixture are illuminated by 12 volts (DC) instead of the typical line voltage 120 VAC, so I just can't run out and buy longer wire to retro fit this fixture because the extra length will probably dim the lights somewhat.

The ceilings in this space also appear to be taller than the available wire. Was the canopy suspended lower somehow?

This ceiling is only 10' tall! The fixture was perfect.

We make similar lighting to this, and for that sort of situation we actually customize the wire lengths.
