I am sooo sorry to hear of the passing of your baby girl. I hope she did not suffer too much. Perhaps a fitting memorial to her would be to save a little life and rescue a kitten that looks like her.

My cats are indoor only and are always trying to get to the small lizards I keep as pets in terraria. As Ben Franklin said, "Good fences make for good neighbors." Sturdy screen tops keep the cat/lizard interaction limited to cats dabbing on the glass and the lizards ignoring them.

Ester_b, her mama was a feral cat that appeared in our yard a few years ago. She was pregnant. We tamed two of her kitties and gave one away. I tried to find Callie a home, but no one wanted her. She was such a joy. I have a cement butterfly with colored glass bits in it that I going to put out front where her water bowl is. I still have her brother and mama to take care of. I have a great indoor cat. I can't get a kitten right now.
