I've been told a jillion times we cant grow Oranges. And I'm sorry to say I helped by spreading the story of a lack of sweet of my Uncle's Navel Orange in Fremont. Now,a friend gave us a large bag of Oranges from her tree in San Leandro- sweet!
I don't know what variety..thin skinned,a bit hard to peel with no seeds. Juicy too.
So,put out the word the Bay Area can grow sweet Oranges.
