If your detergent recipient is removable, take it out and wash in hot water with a little dawn dishwashing liquid, but use the blue one. And, I would run and empty load with the hottest setting on your washer with a little dawn, or maybe with some old rags, to get the oil out of the machine. Hope this helps.

I really know very little about washing machines. I'm just worried because it was my aunt's one and I really didn't want her to find out unecessarly. Plus, I'm not living at her house so I can't do what you suggested.
