Gosh Rita, I think we've ALL changed things at one point or another. If we're not following an exact pattern, I think this is the nature of our hobby. Why continue with a design that's just not working? It wastes our energy and supplies.

I say, 'go for it' and make it something that you enjoy working on. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Yes Rita, I agree with Jennifer....go for it. I change my mind sometimes and just do something different with finished blocks.

This reminds me about something that happened last night.
I would always make my bed after getting up. These past few months, I have often neglected it, just throwing the quilts over it in a haphazard manner. Last night hubby asked why I don't make the bed. I said..."what for? I don't want to do it. No one but us sees it. You don't care if it's made or not"
DH laughed and agreed.

Thinking about it, I realized that lately I am lax about the 'who-cares?' stuff. It feels good.

Geraldine, I'm with ya! What difference will it make in 5 years if I make the bed or not? But, a quilt will still be useful in 5 years.

Jennifer is the Queen of Changed Projects. She inherits the most beautiful unfinished projects and can re-make them into fabulous quilts.

I would say about half of mine end up different than I had originally intended. Nothing wrong with that, just a fact of life.
