Layout Help/Fridge Wall

We are about to do a complete kitchen remodel, we are trying to decide what to do re. the fridge/freezer. Our plan includes a 42" but once we've made the staggering budget jump to a 42 we feel like we may as well get a 48" - gives us more storage. Our KD is concerned that the 48 will overwhelm this wall. Though the overall length of the wall is 187" the right corner contains a Lazy Susan cab. The run of cabinets leading to the corner is 163" (if that makes sense).

If we went with a 48" SxS we would take 3" from the pantry (to the left of the fridge) and would divide the other three inches from the rest of the run.

We haven't found a true, integrated 48" SxS (are we missing something obvious?) I've seen some built ins that can take cab panels but they would still protrude from the countertop for the door.

Another thought we've had is to go with columns. We cannot afford the SZ columns but could make the Thermador work. One thought I'd had was to put the freezer on the left end of the run, then the pantry, then the fridge - left hinged so that the counter could act as a landing spot.

Thoughts?

One other question - if we go with columns - better to panel both or panel the freezer and then go stainless on the fridge to break up the wall a bit.

I'd appreciate any suggestions you have, thanks!
