Geeze. It happens all the time. Why is it a big deal?

It wasn't a bump. It was a post someone tacked on to it. Either the post was reported or its content triggered the monitors and it was removed. You can tell when it happens because the number of posts listed on the thread doesn't jive with actual count.

As I said in my opening post, I just wanted to know how it is done, without adding a new post. B/c from time to time I want to bring up a thread, without making a new entry. THAT IS ALL .

Seysonn, just add a post and then report yourself for spam, and that should work! You could also ask the powers that be to bump your status. One warning, though, and that is they like their moderators to be shy and obscure. Invisible if possible...

I learned a few things. I'll just make a short "bumpISH" entry to bring up my interested thread, in the future.

grubby_me is a sly dog. He tells you that you can make a short post and then report yourself for spam. He does NOT tell you that after 3 reports, your userid will be permanently suspended.

You can delete your own post/comment , leaving no trace.
