Greetings to all!

I have a sloping lot on Lake Conroe TX and I just had my soil test done and I'm ready to hire an engineer to design my walkout basement. The holes we drilled in two spots one 20ft and another 15ft -- we didn't hit any water and the soil consists of very stiff, light brown and tan sandy clay.

I've ruled out blocks and looking at ICF or solid poured walls. Any comments or experience on these 2 systems ?

I will do the French drains and waterproofing etc.

Any recommendations on engineers or contractors in the area with experience in this. I'm 30 miles N of Houston.

I have a builder who I'm dealing with but I want more opinions and all the data that I can collect.

Any help would be appreciated...
