if you have the option for flush, I'd go flush. That was your original intent? Do you have side panels? How many inches would it protrude?

I think I understand your question, so I'll answer what I think - the fridge is the end of the U

Do you have space elsewhere for the items intended for the broom closet? Maybe in that big pantry? I'd go flush even if I had to juggle for a place to put the broom closet items. Why spend so much for a flush SubZero and then not get that lovely benefit?

i think your frig is positioned very much like mine, at the end of a short run with a corner cabinet & then an open area or doorway. I've included pics of mine (counter depth) so you can try to visualize how a couple of inches of protrusion might change the look.

You cannot fit your arm inside a 4" wide space, even if it's frameless. I won't do a broom closet like that unless there's at least 9" of space. Otherwise, the depth isn't reachable.
