Updates as of 2/11/15:

• Increased the maximum length for posts and comments
• Increased limit on photos per post to 10
• Post titles for posts that that have been visited turn grey until a new post is added to differentiate them in the forum view
• Restored many related forum links
• Made edit, delete, and flag icons on posts more prominent

Updates as of 2/13/15:

• Zone information now appears next to display names in all Garden forums. (You can adjust this information in the Advanced Settings found on your Edit Profile page.)
• Posting and commenting boxes now have a button for one click photo uploads

Updates as of 2/19/15:

• Messaging is now available between all users - settings available under Advanced Settings on the Edit Profile page
• GardenWeb trade lists have now been restored and are editable via the Edit Profile page
• Rich text features have been supplemented for your posts and comments. Bullets and numbering is now available for forum posts and comments.

There is also still the "contact us" link at the bottom of each page. I've successfully used that to get spam removed since the transition. It was quite prompt, similar to what happened under previous management. And in a thread on the Perennials forum there was a contact for messages posted by Doug Durando who apparently works for Houzz. (He has the funny stylized H to the left of his name like the one that appears to the left of the word houzz where ever it appears.)

I'm not sure if it's new or if I just noticed it, but there's a little flag icon on the top right of each post. It's a way to report a post - if you click on it you get options for reporting, e.g. spam, abuse.... I used it once to report spam and the post was quickly removed.
