No, we sourced the frame and mattress from a local thrift shop. The mattress had a removable protective lining on it at the time of purchase and we just bought a second waterproof cover for extra measure. (It was almost like a shower curtain liner but it zipped close on the end) Then added an inexpensive fitted sheet over the 2 liners. The clients live in the Deep South, so humidity is definitely a factor and they've said it's held up great!
