I looked at a house the other day, and it has a lay out that I have never seen before. It looked like a normal single story bungalow, but there is a front entrance to the basement underneath the porch...like a second porch. That was the entry that the key unlocked. So we walk into the basement and there is the kitchen! Its not a second kitchen, its the original, main kitchen in the basement, along with the dining room and a den and a closet/laundry area. Upstairs (the "main" floor) are 3 bedrooms, the bathroom, and a small office/living room. This house has been on the market for a while and I'm guessing because of the awkward lay out. I kind of like it though. Any thoughts or advice? Anything I should look out for?
