I’ve been looking at interior designs ideas, and I seem to be attracted to Traditional with a Modern Twist (classic contemporary).

I would like to start my furniture buying with a vision, but I’m seeking a assistance to figure out a design option.

In my family room, I envision a sectional sofa, large size rug that is capable of handling foot traffic ( we have a Maltese dog).

I need to choose a color palette to help me choose the right rug, trow pillows and window fabric. My favorite colors are neutrals like taupe and grays and jolts of coral, red, taupes and grays

I wonder how much mix and match is possible when it comes to furniture. I have some dark wood pieces, a glass center table and I’m thinking o buying a sectional leather sofa.

My questions are:

What window treatment I should choose? (I’m thinking of getting window panels in for the family room. The walls are white through all, and painting the rooms is not an option for my husband. )

Which fabrics to pick for panels, pillows etc.

What type of coffee table and end tables should i get?

Which objects to buy to give a house some character?
