LOVE THIS! How can I do this for my home?

I have the perfect little corner where my husband and 3 boys LOVE to throw jackets in and take their shoes off. I've been imagining this idea since the chair in the corner has become the coat rack. How can I do this myself? What do I need? Help please! Thanks!!!

This Bench and Pegs area was built with MDF materials for the bench base & top and also the area for the pegs. Wainscoting was used as a background and the area is outlined with a simple moulding. It would be difficult to give specific directions on how to build - but any experienced finish carpenter should be able to duplicate this look if you showed them the picture.
