The link didn't work. What you need is something washable, light and practical. A solid is always easier to work with than a print, especially with your rug, and you can jazz it up with some pillows.

its not the pattern, its the skirt that does it in for me. we rented a house in nantucket one summer that had furniture patterned such as this and it was totally antiquey and sweet. but i'd go with something different. and if it has a skirt it still has the problem. you need (imho) something more tailored, too.

Well, sondramartina, here is a plain yellow slipcover, and yes it is easier to work with, but also harder, cuz the couch is a 10' x 10' sectional and covering it in solid color will have a huge impact. Breaking it up is hard, even with a million pillows. Why I like yellow, is cuz we have northern exposure in the house and all beige/sand/cream/off whites look cold and dark(er). Yellow lifts the room a bit. But what sort of yellow, is totally lost on me. this one is tea stain or antique yellow and the red roses pick up the color of the red carpet. so seems like an ok idea. No?

Here is another one with tailored skirt, and its got simpler pattern with an element of yellow. But there is no red to relate to our carpet...

I donno if a sectional 10' x 10' would look good if covered in solid yellow pattern like this. A million pillows would make it hard to manage.

go with plain washable white denim or whet cotton covers. all in the same. beachy and easy to care for.

Thank you, sacapuntaslapioz, but white does not go well with burgundy red carpet. Its too stark and hard to maintain without stains. Washing it every other day not tempting. So here is one more idea in sandy stripes.
