twist18x they are slices of several trees, laid flat for the patio,

not trees as they stood cut down.

We are a structural and civil engineering firm, not landscape designers. The entire house was built of wood as many buildings are. It was also a remodel. The patio used the least amount of wood.

The landscape designer was Laura Cooper and the patio’s round eucalyptus “pavers,” were salvaged from a moribund tree. A single tree.

Love them. I am guessing that they were pre-cut trees destined for other uses. Beautiful. I am surprised this would cause such a reaction from someone!

Did you preserve the wood in any way. I have similar rounds from a Eucalyptus as well. Did you seal them in anyway?
