    The ventilation panels in the skirting allow for heat to escape.

    hey i'm terribly sorry I just saw this - SOS is correct to a degree. The vents underneath are for intake. There is a rather large cabinet on the back of the wall that houses the equipment and has additional vents for heat to escape. All of the "blank" panels in the rack are perforated to allow heat to escape from the faces.
