We are remodeling our kitchen, the kitchen size is about 24'x13' and we planned to add a large rectangular island in the middle (14'x5') with multi cabinets/functions (sink, dishwasher, wine cooler, kegerator...).

Just received our white shaker cabinets and dry fitted some of them side-by-side per pictures (fyi - the sink oak island is the old one). Refer to print for detailed layout.

We are concerned the new island may be too large for the room (walkways will be between 37" to 39" on both sides)? Maybe this is not an issue but looking for suggestions and recommendations.

Also, we have a door access to outside (shown on print on the lower right corner) and the clearance with the corner of the countertop when open would be about 20".

Finally, we are planning on a sitting/dining area on the corner of the island with 12" countertop overhang showing with the hatched area on the print.
