contrasting electrical outlets

hi, fellow houzz users, I am about to stain hardwood floors, I dont want a dark stain because it's a small space, but my electrical outlets are dark chocolate brown, would it be sensible to match the door frames in d room to the outlets to not have the outlets look out of place?

Go light with the outlets and trim to contrast with the flooring. Outlet covers can also be painted (remove them first, of course) so that they blend with the wall, changed completely or wallpapered. An electrician can change the actual plug section, too, so you don't have to see dark brown blotching up your decor.

thanks, it's been resolved, the electrical store agreed to exchange the walls plates I have since they weren't clipped on as yet, I didn't expect them to since I bought them about a year ago, very happy they're being so accommodating
