How is the perogla attached to the roof?

    The beams of the arbor extend beyond the overhang of the roof and attach to the roof directly above the house wall. Where this attachment occurs, waterproof roof flashing must occur. Before pursuing this approach, make sure that you check with a structural engineer to verify that the wall can accept this additional load.

    Do you happen to have a view of the hardware used to attach the beams to the roof?

    Sorry we do not. But in the past we have used a threaded rod, with nuts and washers epoxied into support structure. We have also used custom made metal anchor straps. Probably a structural engineer should input on your connection, as wind load, earthquake code or other issues could impact how the connection is made.
