Need help on where it's best to mount whirlpool tub fixtures.

I bought a Kohler Portrait whirlpool bath which has a bump out on one side for fixtures. However, I prefer to mount them in the tub deck. The tub is 67" long and there is plenty of room to mount the fixtures in the tub deck. If I mount them in the bump out on the side, the fixtures will be placed in the middle of the tub. I'm concerned that I may bump my head, etc. I know this sounds silly, but I've always been kind of clumsy.

Place the fixtures where you can reach to test the water temperature, but where they won't be in the way for relaxing or tub access. If you expect company from time to time :-) mounting the fixtures off to one side of one end would give two people headroom.

I agree. I'm 5'6" and the 60" tub was just too short. This tub gave me just enough leg room without being too large to use frequently. Two people could easily fit if I mount the fixtures as you suggested. Thank you!
