Pretty cabinets! I think a smaller mosaic type backsplash (multicolored or tonal) would minimize the irregularity. With the small granite splash, the space to tile is really small. I would want to take it out to maximize the tile area. Good luck!

I agree with the above. It's an easy fix to have the cabinet re-installed at the proper height.

I would remove the cupboard on the left and replace with open shelving. Or replace it so it matches the level of the cupboards on the right. Because tile generally has horizontal lines if you don't address the left hand cupboard a tile backsplash would emphasize the difference in level. If this is a rental then you could do a stainless - removable - panel style backsplash without horizontal lines to de-emphasize the difference. My husband made a backsplash out of aluminum flashing and made swirl patterns on it with a dremel brush attachment. We attached with upholstery style nails which gave an industrial look.

Agree you should get cabinets aligned but also think you should remove 4 inch granite before installing backsplash - this will visually heighten the backsplash area - if you don't remove do not pick at tile that contrasts too much with the granite.

That is just sloppy work. There are probably 2-4 screws that you have to unscrew so it is a no brainer to simply lower LS cabinet. Assume they are on a stud so simply lowering will take all of 15 minutes.

That backsplash is siliconed in place. Take a box cutter and run it at the seam between the top an then to the wall. when you cut through the silicone and caulk you will feel it coming loose. It should pop right off.

I couldn't imagine not investing 1/2 hour worth of time to correct something. It would take you 5x's that to work around it.

Find help to remove the single cabinet and level to other cabinets. If you don't fix this problem you will not like anything you do. Even if you have to hire a handyman it shouldn't cost that much. See if you can get estimates [maybe over the phone?]. After that, I would remove the granite because, as previously mentioned, the tiles will be a different thickness. The wall may need patching after removing the granite backsplash, so see if you could get one person to do the whole job. After that, you should be able to handle the rest yourself. Good luck.

Fix the left cabinet. A full height backsplash will make the different even more noticeable, not less.
