Which cabinet color do you like best for the kitchen?

My first house purchase and I am extremely nervous about picking the right color for this kitchen. I am not changing the floors and can't decide on either Dark Cherry Wood cabinets or espresso. What do you think? Please see below

Espresso color sample

If it were me, I would absolutely go with espresso. The other colours are too warm for my taste and I like how the espresso acts like a neutral- so much easier to figure out paint and accent colours!

I really think the expresso looks nice with your existing tile floors and the granite you have chosen. Have you picked the backsplash yet?

If this is your granite then which cabinet looks best? Hard to tell what granite looks like. Is it that yellow? That backsplash is busy and so is granite. Are you changing out backsplash too?

Blacksplash is coming down and putting 4" granite

    I vote espresso for sure.

I think the espresso works best. If that is your granite for sure, it works fine with either cabinet color. If you decided to consider other counter options, I would not go any darker than that one, and also choose a lighter backsplash that offers some reflection of light (i.e., glass, polished stone, etc). You should definitely install under cabinet lighting also.

Any opinion on this lighter color?

I think the espresso is a bit more modern than the other, but both would look fine with that granite (I think). I like both of the styles though ☺️ . Which do YOU like?

Starting to lean towards the espresso, my only concern is the darker brown fireplace and brown floors I will have. Will this kitchen match the rest of the house?

This is part of the kitchen

Seeing the brick wall, I would lean towards the espresso because of the dark spots on the brick. BUT the traditional cherry wouldn't be horrible as it would remind me of old homes I like too!? Do you have a significant other that has an opinion in this?
    I DO like the espresso

It really does not matter whether you use the cherry or the espresso as long as you don't have more than one patterned surface. The backsplash should either match the counter tops or at least be a plain color taken from the countertops - (which should also look good with the cabinets). I do agree that espresso is much easier to match to other surfaces than the cherry.

Oh...if your decision is espresso, I think the very traditional beveled look of the cherry cabinets would not look as nice as the espresso in more of a shaker style. So, espresso cabinets, but less traditional cabinet style as well.

We have had many of our customers choose the express color in the past year and with stainless appliances it really makes for a eye catching kitchen! This is one we did for a family this past November and the glass mosaic backsplash was a really beautiful touch to complete this kitchen.

I vote espresso, cherry is very traditional, unless you're going for that look. Personally I prefer something a little more modern. But it's your kitchen, go with what best fits your taste.

Definitely the espresso. You might get sick of the reddish tone in the sample piece you show. -Erin

I would definitely go for the cherry because I prefer warm colors. But I'd choose the lighter shade and do the cabinets in simpler styling.

Espresso! We remodeled our kitchen last year and love our espresso cabinets.

    Definitely the espresso!

Personally, espresso is the way to go. The cherry doesn't go with the backsplash but the espresso is really just a neutral color that will tie everything in. However, if your kitchen does not get a lot of daylight, I would suggest something lighter.

Definitely the Espresso. It looks awesome with the tile. Cherry won't do that.
