Hello,

we bought an old house built around '68. It has ground floor and an attic. I'd like to remodel the attic that is currently only wooden beams and roof. The floor of the attic is wooden beams that are 14/10 cm/cm dim. (cca. 5.5/3.9 in./in. ) which are 80cm (cca. 31.5 in.) apart, and it has planking over the beams. I'd like to be able to use attic for sleeping rooms. But because the beams are wooden I'm not sure what materials should be used for attic remodel.

Also we need to make stairs for the attic, and they have to be children safe. Because of the configuration of the house and available space, the best stairs would be loft stairs/ladders. But I'm not sure if they are enough safe for children. Does anyone have experience with some small scale stairs or loft stairs/ladders that are safe for children?
