Looking for budget designers in Tucson AZ

We have small budget for a new kitchen island and possibly bathroom remodel (turning separate tub/shower into tub/shower combo) and can't seem to find budget-friendly designers in Tucson. Any suggestions on where to look?

Go to your local big box or cabinet store, where you plan to purchase your island and bath stuff. The designers work for free, and are mostly very knowledgeable.

Do any of the Phoenix area designers do work in Tucson? Call some to see if they would work in your area.

HI -- Try some of the design schools if you have any in your area . Graduating and attending students will be looking for small projects to do for their portfolios .

You don't get what you don't pay for. Seeking advice from the wrong ''free'' source can cost you a lot more in the end.

First of all, what's your budget? It can be modest, but it has to be realistic. 16K is an average bath remodel in your region. An ''island'' can be 5-15K depending on size and design.

Prioritize your needs vs wants. And good design should be first on the list.

Calling a few designers in town and asking for suggestions on budget friendly designers can help too. The local ASID Tucson chapter has a lot of designers with varying degrees of experience and price ranges. Good luck and let us know if we can be of any help!
