Beautiful start. Looks glamorous to me. I would hang your artwork and add some tall table lamps to the round side tables....of course, glamorous ones.... I would prefer a glass or mirrored coffee table, but if you planning to keep the ottoman, I would find a large mirrored or silver tray to place on top of it and add some candle holders or flowers to it. Of course, you need a throw to complete your space. Love it!

Do you think the art work is too small?

No, I think it looks like the perfect size art to place behind your couch, and once you have lamps on the tables, the height of them will take up wall space on both sides of the art.

It might be nice if the art was just a bit bigger, but it's not terribly small. If you can return it for a full refund or if you have another great place for it, I might return it or move it - but if not, it will work. Nice room!

I would go for some more glamorous drapes, like faux silk, hung at the ceiling, pinch pleat. And make sure they are large enough to draw closed across the entire window, extend them out to cover them entire wall. VERY glamorous!

Should I add something to the sides of the wall where the little end tables are? If so what? Thank you!

Lamps on side tables can add ton of glam and shine if you pick glass or shiny material! Think refracting light with accessories. Even silver candlesticks. How about 'antique' glass cut to fit the tops of side tables? Check out pictures of French apartments for inspiration. A mohair throw?

I think:

- ceiling corniche moulding decoration to complete the elegance

- fresh blue floreal wallpaper

- suspension lamp look like a lantern

- camel coloured soft rug (12' x 8')

- painting lamp (and a painting) above the sofa

You're getting there. The rug is a bit small, IMO. I like them to slip under the first 1/3 of the sofa and extend a foot on each end to give a richer, grounded look. Your two tables look alike in style, but don't seem to be the same height, and they are too short for the sofa arms. Maybe you can use metal slider tacks under the legs to raise them just a bit. Add mercury glass lamps that bring the total height of table and lamp to 58-64" above the floor. The hassock is a bit too casual to be glam. If you or a friend are handy with DIY, you could slipcover it with a stylish glam skirt and add a tray on top. Drapes will add a lot. You can give the art and the room more presence with a wide horizontal stripe, in gold around the room at the level where it should hang. Or you might do multiple stripes for a glam feeling.

Bigger rug, longer curtains hung from near ceiling:

You have a delightful room so far. Your room is rather formal, so if it won't be used for lounging, I suggest you use a large coffee table in the center instead of the ottoman. I would go with a larger rug. Here are some suggestions for you to add. Mirrors on each side of your painting. Use richer, longer fabric on your windows.

Everything looks so yummy. Maybe a pair of small wooden chairs to round out your seating arrangement. Can match or not match. I love the gold horizontal stripe. I have been thinking of doing that in my dining room with a carefree stencil on the wide band....fun fun fun.

a larger art piece would b better. I would get bigger end tables to hold grand lamps. just an idea for a coffee table.

Grover, that's one crazy lamp you found. Shade is only 6" in diameter, not sure about that for a sofa side table:))))

If you can, I think painting the wall behind the sofa in a darker color would really up the glam factor! The current color looks a little meh.

I'm not a fan of the fur chandelier either, are you open to replacing it?

Why not get another chandelier and hang them above the end tables on either end of the sofa with the picture in the middle?

Great start.
You do a collage on the wall, have the painting in the middle. I've seen pics on Houzz that people did and it worked.

Or you could do tall lamps on either side of sofa and maybe tall sculptures or urns with branches on them in the corner of the room.

When in doubt step back if it looks cluttered, then don't do it.

Also a vibrant throw blanket and pillows could work too for some contrast/drama.

A little larger on the rug, maybe or pull the chairs front feet onto it. I think the chandy has feathers. Is that right? Yes, hang drapes from just below ceiling down to floor. Get grommet top at Ikea & go with a satin, silk or velvet. Have fun. Of course hang the painting to have the bottom centered on the sofa about 5 inches above the back.

If you change from the chandy to table lamps, go with mercury glass & hang tall vertical mirrors that do not reach higher than the painting. Add a mirror serving tray to the ottoman with a decanter & two wine glasses. After all it is a glam look.

Grommet-top curtains are too casual for a glam room like this.

No grommet drapes in your room--only good for very modern.

I really love the above ideas of an accent wall with two of the fur chandeliers hung over the end tables. That would really up the glam factor. Londonvon's coffee table choices would look great. I would find something similar for end tables. The current end tables look a little cottagey from what I can see.

Hopefully these fabric design solutions spark the beginnings of your own inspiration board..

Elegant, but more organic

might "adjust" the end tables with some gold paint, but they are too short.

First thing I would do is get glam end tables and a glam coffee table...glass and metals. I'm not a fan of the lucite/acrylic pieces of furniture. There's more glam in glass, crystal, gold, etc! Add 2 tall lamps for the end tables. Hang your art.
Try pulling the chairs more onto the rug. Or can you turn the rug to go the other way? If neither improves your look, is getting a new, larger rug an option? Maybe with lots of texture...like long shag?

Perhaps a pop of color on the walls would look absolutely wonderful and pull the room together!

I love your fixture as it makes the room glam, tho that may not be the look you want. I like the softness of the rug but too small. Drapes needed as suggested pkus some new end tables and lamps.
