I really like your choices of both furniture and color scheme. I'm kind of leaning toward the black cabinet and table. What do you think about a black cabinet with white table to mix it up a bit? Have you tried that in a rendering yet?

I have and one of them looks REALLY white. I thought about grey inserts in the white cabinet too.

The apartment is only about 700 sq ft, so I'm worried about dark stuff looking too big, but maybe dark is better? They say it receeds, I don't know. I do have 10' ceilings though.

The pillows are just kind of thown in as idea placeholders, I love that black and white pillow though. I'm going for a clean, tidy, modern look.

Hmmm, I kind of like that too. But with the white cabinet I think the other inserts help to tie in the rug.

I could also get a gray rug, or white, I don't own it yet.

So far, I think I like this one the best! What program are you using for this btw?

Sweet home 3d, it's a little limiting sometimes when it comes to furniture and textures, but it works.

For example there is no white shag carpet texture.

What do you guys think is most chic and modern? I'm a single female, this is going to me my cozy little all-for-myself apartment.

Something with a white shag rug definitely for chic and modern....especially with no kids or pets to worry about. :-)
