Hard Work Pays Off - Kitchen Makeover

last modified: 11 years ago

The rest of the home needed so much work that I decided the kitchen cabinets could be salvaged. Removed the crooked shelves on the lefthand end cabinets. Removed the fridge panel and the awful scalloped valance over the sink. Moved the proper sink base cabinet over and repurposed fridge panel to create space for a dishwasher.

Replaced the countertop with Formica 180FX Crema Mascarello. Re-finished cabinets with Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations (Chocolate /w Glaze) and took off the old knobs to replace with Antique Nickel T-pulls. Replaced ceiling fan with Canarm Calibre ceiling fan. Ceiling got a few coats of Zinsser Cover Stain and the walls went to a light grey. Replaced the vinyl tiles with a natural hickory laminate.

Will eventually put a Fasade brushed nickel backsplash.
