Front of house layout help needed

Help! We're a growing family and have come to realize that the layout of the front of our house is 100% inefficient. We never use half of the front of the house and that has to change. Below is a picture of the side that has to become more functional, but the layout of that side is problematic. Basically we want to move our TV from the mostly enclosed half (in the diagrams below it stays the same with a sofa, piano etc--this will now be a guest room/baby stroller/trailer storage space) to the more open L shaped side. But where to put the TV! We would ideally like the bay on the L-shaped side to be a place for the kiddo to play/contain his toys (it is in eyeshot of the kitchen/dining room), which leaves us the main part for the "living room". The entire long wall is either fireplace or beautiful original (1910) built in shelves. Thus, on that wall the only place I can think of to put the TV is over the fireplace (inoperable) although it would be so high (6 ft) that we'd need an articulating arm to pull down the TV when we use it (?). The other 2 options have us putting the TV either pretty much opposite the front door (isn't that tacky?) or placing it between the kid space and the floating furniture (I'm not feeling very anchored in that version, but I like it the most). What do you all think? Is there something that I'm missing?
