Hi all! I'm having a painter do some new doors along with the rest of a painting job. The doors are cherry veneer slabs and look pretty good. We aren't staining them and just want them clear coated. Is a sanding sealer necessary for cherry that isn't being stained? It seems excessive, but that's what the painter quoted.
