They are 3/4" walnut, no sapwood, un-steamed, square pegs, glazed to accent knots etc, sanded, installed, and finished with 4 coats of Tung Oil. The material came from Rehmeyer Wood Floors near York PA

This floor in particular not only has a Waterlox Tung Oil Finish topcoat, but also uses a black dye to create a French bleed effect. We pre-custom finish with many different quality finishes, but the Waterlox Tung Oil is by far the most popular!

Beautifully done! It's wonderful to see there's still professional craftsmanship being done. Waterlox is the way to go if it was used more often just think what would happen?? Chain reaction

Although Tung Oil finishes do a terrific job of enhancing the look of wood floors, unfortunately due to long dry times most onsite finishers are reluctant to use them. At Rehmeyer Floors we have developed a system in which we can custom pre-finish flooring with many of the old world time-tested finishes. Tung oil, Hardwax oil and Poly whey are a few of the finishes we use that not only beautify but enable homeowners to maintain and easily refinish through the years.

What color stain would be similar to this? I'm staining pine floors but love the color of these floors.

On march 17,2015 rehashed wood floors posted a close up of some wood with pegs. What flooring is that ? Stain color as well ? It's a perfect color
