We are tiling our open kitchen, dining living room space with 12x24 tiles. The entire space is 18'w x 60'l. You enter this area from the side. I cannot decide if we run the tiles length-wise, or horizontally?

We have windows at both ends, and along one long side. Furniture will change. Ceilings are rustic galvanized metal running length-wise in dining and living room. I do not want diagonal or herringbone in the area. Thanks!
