I like my white appliances. Since my cabinets are wood, the white helps brighten up the room. Wall color can effect this though - my walls are also light - cream. Some people with darker walls do not like the brightness of the white -too much contrast. I also do not care for SS, but to be fair I have read that the newer ones have a different type of surface treatment that helps prevent fingerprints, and many say it is no big deal to keep clean - they just wipe the appliances down every few days.

I just don't need one more regular housekeeping task.
