I'd like to swap too. I have LOTS of lavender Iris, in various shades would trade for other colors just to get some more variety. Obviously they are happy in my yard

    and that makes me happy

I would like to be in on the iris trading. I will post pictures when they bloom.

I have tall white bearded iris blooming right now, most likely Immortality. Was just wondering if anyone would like to trade for some when they are finished, which should be soon.

    Some pics of her.

I'm looking for 'Oasis Donut' and can trade 'Red Skies', Maraposa Autumn

Southern Gardening. Mine are noids but i'd be willing to trade for anything that is not purple.

beth do you have any louisiana iris?

No, this is zone 5 and I don't think they like it here

    I'm interested in "Immortality" Southerngardening24!

As a side note, my first blooms were last week, and they were from some dwarf bearded iris, which I acquired last year through trades - SO cute! Never seen them before now! Smaller flowers on the shortest stalks, just darling! And my tall iris are budding now! I was disappointed my Dutch Iris didn't bloom this year, maybe next year...? Or do they bloom later in the spring? Also never seen them before in real life, first time growing them and I traded for them late in the fall.

we have several tall iris with buds now

Would be interested in joining this trade. I have a lot purple grape koolaid smelling ones, some white and yellow. Looking for others colors or two tone kind. Not sure why but not many bloomed like last year.

okay we will get you some different color ones we have several starting to bloom and we will see what all they are there is some real dark purple ones that i can also get a few starts of if anyone is interested

queengardener: Sounds great. I would love some dwarf iris. My white ones are about finished blooming.

mori1: your iris collection is beautiful!!! I have the only one kind (violet) in different areas in my yard... I am going to have to step up my game. I would love to add the 'oasis donut' and any white types, burgundy, yellows, so i can add some "new and exciting" colors to my garden beds... if anyone wants to check my trade list :-)

irises are starting to bloom here now

I'm watching mine bud up . . . the TB haven't bloomed yet. I'm getting more surprise dwarf iris - I traded locally twice with two women for a couple handfuls of iris rhizomes each, and the one lady must have had a lot of dwarf iris! lol

we had several dwarf bloom this year also

Thank you mom2zandt but I wish you could have it 7 years ago it was about take my driveway. Drought and other issue have taken there toll. I don't have as much I did and a bunch didn't even bother to bloom. So I'm trying to build it back a little at a time.

I just bought a yellow/burgundy iris yesterday at a library plant sale - I can see how collecting different colors could get addicting. I hope it blooms this year! It gets better... the library is having a plant swap next week -YAY!

Was just wondering if anyone's irises are about ready to be traded. Mine are about to be finished blooming.

Fire Bug is finishing up, and I will have a ton of a purple no id iris as well. I'm thinking maybe next week I'll start digging them up. There is a patch that I thought was a mixture of both the purple and the Fire Bug, but no Fire Bug bloomed from it, and very few purple bloomed. If you don't care what you get, I really need to get rid of nearly all of these plants and it's a large patch.

I have lots of black gamecock louisiana iris. If yours are a lighter purple I would like a few. The firebug iris are so pretty. Looks like we are in the same boat with too many iris. Even if I get rid of half of my purple, they will probably make up for it by next year. There are probably about 5 of the white ones for division. I did buy some 'stairway to heaven' last year, but they haven't bloomed yet. Next week sounds good to me.

Would like in on this too.

Anyone ready to dig iris and mail out? I can send postage today thru pay pal! Thanks!!!!

Mine are dug up, cleaned, and soaked in water/bleach solution. Louisiana iris "Black gamecock".

To fuzzy57: Obviously, an expert in making excuses and taking advantage of others' generosity and trust. If you're sincere in making amends start by paying back what you owe others instead of keep asking for new stuff on plant exchange.

Wow should I start a new thread? I hate to have anyone not read this and think I was the culprit!

Yeah, sure fuzzy. More LIES. Oh, to be truthful, I FINALLY got the 'trade' after badgering you over and over again (after you kept ignoring me as well) which was a microscopic amount of seeds, and they are the wrong ones too. I also didn't get the dragon fruit seeds either that you 'promised' me. This after I was super generous with you, I sent you all those different varieties of good seeds too. You should be ashamed of yourself fuzzy! First your 'excuse' was oh you'll get them in the mail, you said that a few times. Then you said it's raining. After the raining you didn't say anything for quite a long time. More excuses. It took over a month and a half to get anything at ALL, and I don't believe your lies either!
