Upon moving in to our new home as college kids, the landlord thought it'd be a good idea to paint our stairs and basement cement floor smurf blue. Why he did this to a house with brown wooden walls and floors still baffles me. But I'm trying to figure what to paint the stairs. Maybe keep the blue and go for a artistic design kinda look? (Maybe like stripes or squares with another color, or using the blue to my advantage and trying to make it into an illusion of blue water with fish under your feet). I'm also trying to figure out what I should paint the walls of the room where the tan stairs are and possibly paint the upstairs as well. Any ideas are appreciated and welcome!
