We're in Southern California...fall and winter for sure!

Spring for me! After a long cold winter....I'm always ready for the shoots popping up out of the ground & the buds on the trees!! Finally being able to shut off the heat & open some windows!!!

Spring is after all, the renewal of life and what can be more refreshing and invigorating then watching your surroundings come back to life. Rapid weather improvement, our green planet takes on it's green color again, the days get longer and the outdoors welcome.

That would have to be Fall for me. Being a New England girl I love the fall colors. The trees of bright red and yellows and a mixture of all colors imaginable. I never get tired of looking at the beautiful scenery. It's an artists canvas. Along with the colorful scenery there are the crisp mornings with frost on the grass and dew in the fields. I also love all the pumpkins, gourds and bales of hay and is always interesting to see the different displays as we drive by people's homes. I love Thanksgiving and all the wonderful smells of fresh pumpkin and apple pies baking. Then if we could only just skip winter and go straight from fall to spring would be my ideal seasons year round. (sorry, just saw the typo of gourds after it was submitted)

Kassel has 120 rainy days, barely warm days and no one has a big pool because you can use it only a few days a year. Of course I like summer. But summer in Kassel means: you don't always have to wear a jacket.

I voted for summer. We moved into our new house (and city) last November so, we haven't experienced a Central Okanagan summer here yet. So far, spring has been glorious.

Spring with her milder days, the earthy smell of soil warming, the bright greens of new perennials poking their heads up, the promise of it all...

Summer definitely. I love to be outdoors on my screened porch. Wearing sandals and shorts sitting out on bistro. The cookouts. My garden is done by then. Spring nah its the work of cleaning up and snow showers like we got on Friday

GOD CREATED THE SEASONS. IT'S A TOSS UP BETWEEN WINTER AND SPRING AS WINTER WE CELEBRATE JESUS BIRTH AND SPRING WE CELEBRATE HIS RISING FROM DEATH. HUGS <3

Winter in Florida is wonderful. Summer, autumn and spring are too hot.
I love the Fall & Winter! I do not like the heat...

I've always loved spring! In central California it wasn't long enough, now that we live in North Dakota spring seems to slowly slip into summer and I love them both! It's fun to see what flowers made it through our cold winters and I love to work in the yard and garden so I like to replant too!

I love the colors of spring, and the snap in the air in fall, but absolutely hate the heat and humidity of our suburban Philadelphia summers. I don't mind the winter.

Fall--Love Fall for all the obvious reasons....the cooler, crispness of the air that wearing just a light jacket demands, the crunch of the leaves underfoot, that wonderful aroma of bonfires, and of course, Thanksgiving, the holiday that forces us all to stop and give thanks to God for our many blessings (depending on your own personal beliefs, of course!). And naturally, my favorite reason.....those leaves with their burst of colors!! Many people may not be aware of this, but deciduous trees' leaves AREN'T really green. Nope--it's the chlorophyll in them that makes them green. When the cooler temps arrive in Fall, the leaves are actually changing to show their TRUE colors. I love this amazing miracle that happens in Fall and the metaphor I think of when relating myself to those leaves. To me, we become our TRUE selves when we remove all the things (our imperfect humanness) that keep us from being our TRUE selves, just as the leaves do when they shed their greenness and show their true, perfect, beautiful colors. We then quietly float away (like the leaves) into our earthly deaths (the dormancy of winter) being our TRUE, PERFECTLY WHOLE AND PERFECT SELVES (heaven!). What could be more beautiful than that? No wonder I love Fall so much!

I used to love winter but the 2013-14 and 14-15 years pushed my limits
  • 11 years ago

The "NEXT" season is always my favorite.................boredom breeds anticipation..............God is quite intelligent..................................

I like Spring into early summer. Spring is when things renew themselves and early summer is good because everything has become new and fresh.

HI im from australia ,i love summer but after the winter you guy have had i,ll share it with you lol ,houzz i just love you ,,,you lovely thing ,,

I live in Louisiana, so summers are pretty grim unless you are in air conditioning or in water! Spring is marvelous, but often is just a few short weeks before hot weather sets in. So I love fall, when we can usually count on a two or three months of pleasant, beautiful weather before the damp winter cold. And even winter is not bad, because the cold is usually punctuated by chilly good weather.

Mine was always summer, love that warm summer sun & beautiful evenings! (I'm missing that now.) But ... Fall is so amazingly beautiful with all of the colors. Tough to choose just one! I like the comment that says, my favorite is .... the next one.

I hate being cold so I love summer. I can cool down but never warm up enough. I love being outside. I can't wait for spring to start thinking of stuff to do outside. I love fall because of the changing of leaves but hate all the raking. I hate winter--having house closed up--I love my windows opened the other 3 seasons. I hate wearing coats, gloves, boots.

It's Autumn for me. I love the "Indian summer" days of fall. When the sun shines and it is warm to cool, the leaves are at their peak and in an array of golds, yellows and reds. I love to walk down the paths in my yard and hear the crunch of the leaves. I enjoy every day of Autumn and I am always a little sad to see it go and winter arrive.

    I love cold weather!!

I like spring, new life, fresh air and longer days... But oh Summer is my season, burst of color everywhere, hot sunny days, the voice and laughter of children playing outside. It reminds me of time long ago when I used to run on my grand father yard bare feet eating mango and drinks coconut water. Thank you for bringing back memories of childhood.

    Ehem…close your ears Gershwin-lovers while I just
    belt this out:

    S-U-M-M-E-R-T-I-M-E…when the living is easy

Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high

    I sure ain’t rich - And just barely good-lookin’

    But when I’ve got sunshine

    I know I’ll get by!

I love winter. I love the pure white snow as it falls. I love the brisk air as my lungs breath it in. I love cuddling up with my chihuahua blue, watching and old movie. Oh and I truly love that there is NOT one bug in sight....

Summer! I live in the southern hemisphere so for me summer means Christmas and New Years Resolutions! :-D

Summer without a doubt. I love the warm beautiful days here in LA. As a teacher I have time off to enjoy them. Perfect situation.

Spring. Love watching all the colors bloom as well as the feel of it getting warmer after winter. Love snow, but hate the gray of winter. Hate the weather getting cooler and cooler in Fall. Like watching the leaves turn but it's hard for me to adjust to the Fall temperatures when it's warm one day and cold the next.

Fall!!! Both Spring and Fall are not too hot or cold, and Fall has a lot of holidays, it means back to school and football season. It's harvest time, apple cider, flannels and trees turning colors
  • 11 years ago
Love the new colors - blooming flowers - before it's too hot to enjoy.

Summer. It's warm and things are green and growing. Fall is terrible. Everything is dying and decaying.

I had said earlier, "Anything but winter!" In reality, I've always loved fall! I was born in early October, so maybe that's why! I love, love, the changing of the leaves and the fall colors that are so vivid!! Fall is beautiful!

Summer is the best because the kids are out of school, and we spend all of our time in the pool and cooking in our outdoor kitchen!

Autumn is perfect, it has no flaws, so much to look forward to.

Finally some relief from the oppressive heat with the crisp cool air moving in, the beautiful changing of the leaves, the yummy smells of baked goods, football is finally back on soon followed by basketball, back to school for the kiddos, snuggling on the couch watching the classic horror movies, and you have Christmas right around the corner to look forward to.

Yep...fall is the absolute best IMHO. The crisp, cool snap of the air; just cool enough for a light sweater or jacket. The smell of the bonfire and people having cookouts (love those s'mores!).....the explosion of colors when the leaves finally become the colors they were intended to be (they are only green due to the chlorophyll in them).....the crunch of the leaves under your feet after they've fallen from the trees....the rousing of the band playing at the local football game. All of these things make for a very special season. And yes, I must admit that I do hate to see the summer end....those lazy days when you can just slip on a pair of sandals and head outside without having to bundle up first, yet there's just something about fall that truly makes me come alive! It's funny how we all have our favorite season. Do you ever wonder why? I mean....why do some of us prefer the coolness of fall and others love the heat of the summer? Hmmm.....interesting!

All seasons have their own benefits and disadvantages. Be sure to keep up with your home seasonal maintenance needs. Thank you very much Emily for including our clock work studio picture as your fall example!

EARLY SPRING: Love the work of the garden and seeing the new growth, new plants, etc. The temps are still good and the windows/doors can stay open throughout the day.

LATE SPRING/SUMMER/EARLY FALL: Love the maturing of the garden. I go out early before the heat sets in. Windows/doors do close and A/C is a must.

MID to LATE FALL: Love the work of the garden; cleaning & pruning. The hint of crispness in the air and the windows/doors can open again.

WINTER: Love the moderate winters in the central gulf coast region of Florida. A cold spell for us rarely lasts more than 2 or 3 days. Also, there is gardening to be done in the winter here as well. Windows/doors are open some days and closed others.

I love the fall time. It reminds me of the changes to come and that spring is just around the corner. I love the cozy feel, the warm sun and crispness in the air and the heart warming food of fall and winter.

I love fall and winter. Leaves turning brown and gold. The temperature starting to fall
  • 10 years ago

It's a toss up between Spring and Fall! I love the Spring warmth after a cold winter plus all of the trees and flowers are blooming. I love the Fall because of the cool weather after the heat of Summer. I absolutely love the leaves changing colors because it's Mother Nature at her best!

Spring is when my epiphyllum bloom, and so I like it for that

This is one of many epiphyllum I have in many colors, from yellow to orange to red, and purple.
