A Compact Kitchen Gets a Custom Overhaul!

A lovely Colonial revival in Larchmont NY was begging for a kitchen facelift. Custom cabinetry by Studio Dearborn in a soft grey (Benjamin Moore's Balboa Mist) was fitted into the compact kitchen utilizing every inch of space. The old tile floor was replaced with hardwood so it would flow into the other spaces of the house. The eating peninsula was lowered to counter height, to open up the space further. As you can see from the before photo, we didnt change the layout much at all, but it really feels very different, and is stylistically much more in keeping with the house.
