Everyone's favorite builder's tan...

We just bought a house with a similar living room layout (same color walls, with tile flooring). My husband wants to put the TV above the fireplace but I'm starting to lean toward using the adjacent wall space to do some sort of built in instead... Question: how would you fit a sectional sofa in here?? The room is 17x17 a bar to the kitchen where the hall to the bath is in this picture. We're at a loss, trying to figure out if our sectional will even work in here.

The tv above the mantle will be too high if it is the same as this photo. It will look good, but won't be comfortable to watch. My clients have an armoire adjacent to the fireplace that houses their tv and equipment. As far as the sofa, it may not fit, or it may be something you move in and move around until it feels comfortable. I build the houses and enjoy talking about furniture, but I am not a decorator... Hope this helps...

Thanks for your input, we've browsed for pix with similar layout as what you're describing and I think he might be convinced :)
