Sheet products are the way to go with pets. Lino (aka marmoleum) is making a comeback as eco friendly and easy to live with. Sheet vinyl offers the same concept with a bit more variation. The cost will depend on which pattern you choose. Installing sheet products is a professional level install but should be much less than tile, etc.

All of us have, at one time or another, seen or lived with or stepped on linoleum. It was the "plastic" of its day. Vinyl came in and stole the show...only to discover that some aspects of vinyl (old fashioned vinyl/adhesive) were not as heatlh friendly as once thought.

Today's installs are much more health friendly. Linoleum is made from a renewable resource (linseed oil) which helps keep the project "green". Have fun. Linoleum is making a great comeback because of all the fun retro patterns available in the product.

Remember: NO rubber backed carpets or rugs...they turn lino (and vinyl and cork and hardwood) orange/brown. Yuck.
