Very nice job taking the soffits out helped gain space for taller cabinets. Also love the grey cabinets. In my Reno I so wanted to do grey but wife talked me out of it. Enjoy your transformation

The original cabinets were slightly popular in the 80's. I would think most have been replaced. Removing the soffits was another nice change. The only thing I would have done is taken the wall cabinet's to the ceiling. It looks just awesome now.

The cupboards are kitchen Kraft maple cabinets painted cirrus the counter is HD wilsonart laminate spring carnival we love it! really wanted Quartz however would have been a big splurge since we live in a very small town I'm not sure it would be have been a good investment what you can't see in the pictures are we choose to do a large pantry off the kitchen instead of taking the cabinets to the top way more assessable and of course we had a budget to keep in mind if we could have done both we would have :)

Island girl, I have granite in one bath. It's ok, but in my kitchen I have Wilson Art High Definition (can't remember the color) and everyone that sees it loves it. I am gong to check out the Spring Carnival that you have. My 1978 home has one more bath needing another update. I think I may just copy your color scheme. I took my kitchen cabinets to the ceiling so I wouldn't have to clean up there.

Love your choices of colors and the idea of horizontal upper cabinets. The only thing I would have done differently is to extend the horizontal upper cabinets to be flushed with the back splash tiles. Great transformation! well done !
