Kitchen renovations are expensive! Keep the appliances, and spend the money you would have spent on new appliances to get a better grade stone or quartz countertop, cabinets, backsplash or flooring. If you can go up a grade in granite, say from a grade B (or 2) to a grade C (or 3), that can really add "wow" to your kitchen. Also, built ins require yet more cabinetry, and thats where the budget really gets eaten up. If you have a smallish kitchen, and are concerned about the appliances breaking up the look, I would opt to get a dishwasher cover that matches the cabinets, so that at least looks built in.
