What happened to your first comment that you decided not to have it done because it cost too much?

I deleted my earlier comment that alluded to the cost that I decided I didn't want to share. I never said that I wasn't having it done. What I said was that it cost thousands. I signed the contract to have it done whether I liked the cost or not.

Thousands? I smell a scam. I realize it's water under the bridge, but I would have had them inspect the house and only pay for treatment if they found termites there.

When I read "Thousands" and "Forget about it" I thought that unfortunately you had thousands of termites in the house what made your original question - to treat or not to treat the house - redundant.

I think I remember hearing that once you get your house treated the termites will just move on to another location (the neighbors!)....therefore, if you treat your shed you might just be sending them towards your house! If I were a buyer, once you disclosed that the shed was treated I would become nervous about the house, so it's probably a good choice to do both. The exterminator probably wouldn't have wanted the small job of just the shed. It's hard to get contractors out to do anything that is a small job (or so it seems to me).
