How about glass subway tiles picking up the pale green in the granite and because the granite is quite busy I would do a grout that is the same color as the tile.

The Arizona tile Islandia I sent link comes in this 4 x 12 glass matte tile too, but I still feel the subway tile is too busy of a pattern. I have seen photos on Houzz of kitchens with this look. I like the glass tiles but not the busy pattern, though your idea of matching grout would make it less busy. Here is the 'Aruba' tile in the same line...

I think you might end up with too much green with that... how about a neutral or grey toned glass panel, which looks lovely with under-cabinet lighting. No need for grout at all then. This pic shows the glass panel idea in another colour.

Thank you for this idea. I have not seen this treatment. By the comments it appears to be glass that is painted, is that correct? Is this something a glass shop would create? The condo is in Maui and sources are limited. It is quite contemporary but could work in for coastal condo. I will try to find it on Google.
