I suggest contacting local cabinet shops, as this is not a complex design. With the right equipment and skill they should be able to build this table with your specifications at a reasonable cost.

I know a local craftsman here in TX who makes a square table -- they had it in the showroom when we went to look for round. All handmade and closer to $3000. His styles are traditional early Texas, not contemporary, but you might be able to chose a simpler style and lighter finish or customize. Not sure if you would want to work long distance or if shipping can be worked out. The tables are gorgeous though. Let me know if you want the name.

Also, check out CustomMade -- a website where you can search for the kind of item you want and limit to artisans in your area. Saw furniture there in a wide, wide range of prices -- some several times your budget, but most I saw were considerably less than $10,000.

OMG! Beautiful and perfect square Table

Looks like a nice table. If you contact them, I'd recommend asking if that table really is all solid wood. I'm thinking that was a mistake by whoever made the listing because doing a sunburst pattern top in solid wood isn't a good idea. It should be veneer.

This table top is glued and clamped cherry and I for one think it is a very beautiful table. I would say about $4000 for that table would be appropriate, but I could be wrong.
