You are taking out the tub and you are enlarging your shower, invest in steam shower. A residential steam shower offers a relaxing atmosphere to calm the mind and create well-being. This relaxation helps you relieve stress and get a better night's sleep. The heat helps aching muscles relax and open the pores for detoxification and skin rejuvenation. Those with respiratory problems enjoy steam therapy because it has been known to help soothe throat irritation, loosen phlegm in the lungs and loosen mucus in the nose. First, ripping out the bath tub and not replacing it could be your biggest mistake for a master bath. Most people want a bath tub in that room, but can do without one in the second bathroom.

Next, if you have money to burn, go for the steam shower. But, if you have a limited budget, or could use the money for other things, think twice.

When we built our last home, we put in master steam shower. One of our all-time, best decisions. Now we are in another home and are in the process of converting shower to steam.

View16, how did the conversion go? Was your steam shower in your built house a good selling feature? We are building, the shower is small for a master 3x5.8 and the cost quoted is incremental $16k and it is just a regular shower with a generator and controller, no fancy shower heads, lights ect. I can't agree to that price so considering a tear out of the finished builder shower to add the steam shower. How much did it cost?
