Are you talking about vinyl siding? If so, PLEASE DON'T USE IT! Vinyl siding is a petroleum product so if there's a fire on the outside of the home, it melts like a plastic bag in a fire. And if the fire is inside the house, the vinyl traps the heat from the fire so the fire burns hotter causing more damage than an ordinary house fire. And because it's petroleum, the smoke is far more toxic than oridnary smoke [which already incredibly toxic!] so if you're in it, your chances of dying of smoke inhalation are greater. This is what my husband who has been a career firefighter for 30 years told me.

I always like a color that will never go out of style, like grey. And the "New England" style siding.
