To warm it up try putting a beige or a warm grey on the wall. Then add a fantastic wood coffee table in between your couches, and perhaps an area rug. Add some more throw pillows on your couches in accenting colors and get rid of the glass furniture. Some more artwork would be helpful, perhaps a fantastic large piece above the sofa. Plants and flowers are always helpful as well.

It looks like you're near the beach. I'd use a sisal rug (synthetic or not) to define the sitting area. Hang some ocean inspired art on the walls, but don't get too cutesy with the nautical theme. If you keep everything in a blue/white/neutral palette, it will all blend. I'm with the previous poster on the rest.

#1 - Declutter and find a place to store the outdoor furniture somewhere else other than the living room. There are plenty of outdoor storage solutions on the market for cushions, covers for outdoor furniture, etc.

Those vertical blinds aren't doing you any favors either - I'd get rid of them and install curtains/roman shades at all your windows.

Also - Consider swapping your seating area w/ your dining area: It's odd the way the seating is next to the kitchen and the dining area is across the house - and the way your TV is in the corner w/ the windows. If you put a nice credenza against the back wall of where the dining area is now, you could arrange your seating to face it: Use just one sofa and bring in a couple of armchairs to create the seating area - and use a colorful area rug to anchor the space.

I would replace the glass furniture with something in a warmer wood tone. Also, I have a particular love for window treatments - curtains would really do wonders to define your windows and warm up the space. You can then coordinate things like lampshades and throw pillows. Filling up bare walls with art will also help a lot - it needn't be expensive... three large frames hung in a row with some photos you've taken and blown up at Walmart (so inexpensive) would be lovely, and it's always great to personalize your space like that too. An area rug in a contrasting colour to your carpet to define the seating area would be lovely. Finally, I agree with the comments above, paint the walls with a warmer tone. You have a great space and it will be exciting to pull it all together. Good luck!
