Master Bathroom Advice

Currently our master bathroom has a standard 3x3 shower insert but the floor is busted and I'm finally replacing it with tile and a glass door. The plumbing is on the shared wall with the master bedroom and directly behind the shower plumbing is a built in shelf and cabinet (approx. 3' x 8' x 12" deep). I'm thinking of enlarging the shower the 12 inches and removing the built in cabinets in the corner of the master bathroom. This would make the shower more comfortable to use since both my wife and I are fairly tall 5'11" & 6'4". Currently she uses the bath/shower combo down the hall since she doesn't have room to easily shave her legs in the 3x3. My question is this, how would this affect the resale value of the home? Are the built-in bookshelf/cabinets in the Master bedroom or the larger shower worth more in resale value?

Thanks in Advance!
